Partners fund the business together. The liability should not be a surprise.
A food truck, a two-chair salon, a three-person contracting crew: most small businesses start on the founders' personal cards, and the founder with the best credit ends up carrying everyone. Squad Card is designed to give the partners one line with a lane each and a shared reserve for the business itself.
Free. No card needed, and joining never touches your credit. Early access is open; your squad saves your seat.
- The partner with the best score opens a card in their own name and everyone else promises to pay them back.
- A business card needs a personal guarantee from an owner, which usually means one owner.
- Splitting expenses after the fact never gives the business its own line.
- 1Each partner, one laneEvery partner applies as an individual within the squad and gets a lane sized to their own file. What you spend on your lane is yours.
- 2A reserve for the businessThe part of the line the partners agree to keep for the business: inventory, a repair, a deposit. Drawing on it takes a vote and each approver takes a capped share.
- 3Cover each other when it mattersA partner can cover another lane's payment to keep the account current. It is recorded and settled inside the squad.
| Squad Card | The partner with the best credit fronting it | |
|---|---|---|
| Liability | Each partner for their own lane | One partner for everything |
| Credit history | Designed so each lane reports for its owner | Only the card holder |
| When a partner leaves | Lane frozen and settled, squad re-assessed | The card holder keeps the balance |

Questions people ask
Is Squad Card a business credit card?
It is designed as a consumer shared line held by individuals who trust each other. It does not require a personal guarantee for another member's spending. Business card programs may follow; this page describes the consumer product.
Can an LLC be a member?
No. Seats belong to people. Partners who want the business itself to hold credit should look at a business card; Squad Card is for the partners as individuals.
How is the reserve controlled?
By vote. A member who needs to go above their lane asks the squad; if the squad approves, the extra releases from the reserve and each approver takes a capped share of that draw.
Is Squad Card available now?
Not yet. Squad Card is on a waitlist while we finish the program with our issuing bank partner. Joining the waitlist saves your seat, lets you form your squad, and gives you a free Experian score and report while you wait.
Does joining the waitlist affect my credit?
No. Joining takes a first name and an email. If you choose to check your free Experian score, that is a soft inquiry you initiate yourself; it never appears to lenders and does not change your score.
What does it cost?
The waitlist and the free Experian score cost nothing and require no card. Card pricing, credit lines and terms will be published when the program launches and depend on approval by the issuing bank.
