U.S. Bank Business Leverage® Visa Signature® Card Review
Most business cards make you guess your categories in advance. Business Leverage reads your statement and pays 2X wherever your business actually spent the most that month. This review covers the mechanics, the fee schedule, and who benefits.
How You Earn
The card looks at your monthly statement and applies 2X to the two categories where you spent the most, automatically. Travel booked through the portal earns a flat 5X.
- Top two categories are recalculated every month from your actual spending
- Gas, EV charging and grocery purchases at wholesale clubs are excluded from the top-two calculation
| Category | Earn rate |
|---|---|
| Top two spend categories each month | 2X, applied automatically |
| Prepaid hotels and car rentals via Travel Center | 5X |
| All other eligible purchases | 1X |
How You Redeem
Points redeem through U.S. Bank's rewards program, with maximum value on deposits to a U.S. Bank business account. The $600 welcome figure equals 60,000 points at that maximum value.
- Real-Time Rewards redemptions are available on eligible purchases
- Points expire five years from the end of the quarter in which they were earned
Benefits and Protections
The card carries Visa Signature business benefits and tools for managing employee spending.
- Free employee cards
- ExtendPay Plans with a $0 fee offer in the first 60 days
- No foreign transaction fees on international inventory, supply or travel expenses
- Zero fraud liability for unauthorized transactions
Who This Card Is For
This card fits businesses whose biggest expense changes with the season or the project. If the same category leads every month, a fixed-category business card at 3% may out-earn the 2X here.
- Best for seasonal or project-driven spending patterns
- Weak fit for single-category businesses
- The first-year fee waiver gives a full year to test the fit
