What happens to the information on this page

Your Social Security number and date of birth are used to verify that you are who you say you are and, where you have authorised it, to locate your credit file. They are never included in a referral to another company, never sold, and never used to advertise to you. Every category we hold and how long we keep it.

Any credit check we run for you is a soft inquiry. It is visible only to you, and it does not affect your credit score however often it runs. Only your own application to a lender causes a hard inquiry, and that lender must ask you separately. Your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including how to dispute an error for free.
