Chase Sapphire Reserve® Credit Card

This card is built for people who travel often and will actually use its credits. It earns 8x on Chase Travel, 4x on flights and hotels booked direct and 3x on dining. The $795 annual fee, plus $195 per authorized user, only makes sense if the $300 travel credit, hotel and dining credits and lounge network get used. Points are worth up to 2x on select flights and hotels through Points Boost.

This is a card for frequent travelers who treat the credit stack as a checklist. If the $300 travel credit, $500 in Edit hotel credits and $300 dining credit all get used, the effective cost drops below the Sapphire Preferred's. If they sit idle, the $795 fee stands at face value.
- Travelers with several flights and hotel stays a year
- Diners and event goers who will use OpenTable and StubHub credits
- Households adding authorized users should budget $195 per user
