Community and User Content
1. What This Space Is For
Banrox community spaces exist so people can compare real experiences: what a lender actually did, how long an approval took, whether a fee showed up that was not advertised. That is useful only if it is honest and only if nobody gets hurt posting it. These rules are how we keep both.
These guidelines apply to the Banrox Community, comments, product reviews, approval reports, quiz submissions, uploads, and anything else you publish through Banrox. They are part of the Terms of Service and sit alongside the Acceptable Use Policy.
2. The Two Hard Rules
Never post another person's information. No names attached to financial details, no account numbers, no Social Security numbers, no dates of birth, no addresses, no screenshots of someone else's credit file or bank statement, no photographs of documents that identify a third party. This applies even if the person is a family member and even if you believe they would not mind. Posts that do this are removed on sight and the account is suspended.
Nobody here is your adviser. Members are not licensed financial advisers, lawyers, or tax professionals, and a post is one person's experience, not advice for your situation. Banrox does not verify member posts, does not endorse them, and does not adopt them. Do not present yourself as licensed if you are not, and do not give individualised recommendations to another member about what they should borrow, buy, or sign.
3. Protecting Yourself
Anything you post is public and can be read, copied, quoted, and indexed by search engines. Before you post, redact your own account numbers, exact balances, employer, full date of birth, and street address. Redact them from screenshots too, including the parts at the edges. A partial account number plus a bank name plus a city is enough for a competent fraudster to start work.
Banrox will remove your own post at your request, but a copy someone else made is beyond our reach. Post accordingly.
4. What Is Not Allowed
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or attacks on a person or a protected group
- Sexually explicit content, or content involving minors in any way
- Encouraging self harm, or content about a member's mental or physical health that they did not choose to share
- Unlawful conduct, or instructions for it, including advice on hiding income, falsifying an application, or disputing accurate information
- Tradelines for sale, authorised user selling, credit privacy numbers, or any service that alters a credit file by deception. These are fraud, and posts offering them are removed and reported
- Promises of a guaranteed approval, a guaranteed score increase, or a guaranteed removal of accurate negative information
- Advertising, affiliate links, referral link spam, recruitment, or promotion of your own business without our written agreement
- Fake reviews, paid reviews, reviews of a product you never used, and reviews written by anyone with an undisclosed connection to the company reviewed
- Deliberate misinformation about a company, a product, a rate, or a law
- Impersonating another member, a company, or Banrox
- Content that infringes copyright or trademark, including pasting an article in full
- Bots, vote manipulation, brigading, and duplicate accounts
5. Reviews and Endorsements
If you have any connection to a company you are writing about, say so in the post: you work there, you were paid, you were given something free, you are an affiliate, or you are a competitor. Federal law requires that disclosure and we enforce it.
Banrox does not pay for reviews, does not offer anything in exchange for a positive review, does not filter out negative reviews, and does not remove a review because the company complained about it. We remove a review only if it breaks a rule on this page or is demonstrably about a different company.
6. Who Owns What You Post
You keep ownership of your content. You grant Banrox the licence described in Section 12 of the Terms of Service so we can display it, moderate it, and keep the community working. You confirm you have the right to post it and that it does not violate anyone else's rights.
You can delete your content at any time. Deletion removes it from the community. Quotes of it in other members' replies, and copies already made by others, are outside our control. Backups cycle out on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.
7. How Moderation Works
- We use automated screening and human review. Automated screening can be wrong, which is why every removal can be appealed to a person.
- Consequences run from a warning, to removal of a post, to a posting restriction, to suspension, to permanent closure, depending on severity and repetition.
- Content that endangers a person, involves a minor, or constitutes fraud is removed immediately without a warning step.
- We tell you what was removed and which rule it broke. We do not remove content silently.
- Appeal: reply to the removal notice or write to [email protected] with the subject "Moderation Appeal." A different person reviews and answers within 10 business days.
Banrox is not obliged to monitor content and does not become the author of a member's post by moderating it. We remove what we find or what is reported, and we would rather remove too little too slowly than take down honest criticism.
8. Reporting a Post
Use the report control on the post, or write to [email protected]. Tell us the link and what is wrong with it. If a post reveals your personal information, mark it urgent and we will act the same day. If you believe a post infringes your copyright, follow the notice procedure at Copyright, DMCA and Trademarks.
If someone appears to be in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In the United States, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline can be reached by calling or texting 988.
9. Changes
We update these guidelines as the community grows and as new problems appear. Changes are posted here with a new effective date, and material changes are announced in the community itself.
