What this is
A board where readers report how a credit card application went: the card, approved or denied, the credit score range, the bureau that was pulled, the income range, the state and the month. Other readers use it to see where they stand before they apply. It is the same idea as the "data points" threads on Doctor of Credit and the user results page on CardRight, in our own home.
What you can post
- Your own application, one entry per application. A reconsideration that changed the result is a second entry.
- Numbers as ranges. The form only offers ranges, so nothing exact is stored or shown.
- A short note, up to 280 characters: what happened, how long it took, whether a call to the issuer helped.
What you cannot post
- Names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, usernames, account or card numbers, application or reference numbers. Notes with any of these are refused automatically.
- Links.
- Results that are not yours, invented results, or the same result more than once.
- Anything about another person.
You must be 18 or older to post. By posting you confirm the entry is your own application and is true to the best of your memory.
Review and removal
- Every entry is read by a member of the Banrox team before it appears, usually within 1 to 2 days. We only edit to remove personal details; we do not change the meaning, and we do not pick entries for being positive or negative.
- Entries that break these rules are not published. Published entries that turn out to break them are taken down.
- Want your entry changed or removed? Send the result number you received after posting through the contact page. We remove it within two business days.
- Spotted an entry that should not be there? Use the same contact page and tell us which row.
What the numbers mean
Everything on the board is reported by readers. It is not issuer data, it is not verified against a credit report, and it is not a prediction of what will happen to your own application. Approval rates are shown only when at least five decided results exist for the filter you picked. Banrox is a technology company; it is not a bank and does not lend money.
